With the Saskatchewan government’s recent announcement to abolish the Saskatchewan Human Rights Tribunal in favour of hearings in the court of Queens Bench comes a good first step. No longer should people need to fear being dragged in front of an unaccountable group of amateurs without the basic protection that is guaranteed by the courts. Hopefully this will mean that frivolous complaints will not be a cost burden to the accused if the complaints are rejected.
