The last time the Saskatchewan Roughriders won the Grey Cup, Scott Schultz was an 11-year-old kid growing up in Moose Jaw.

Now the Riders defensive tackle hopes to bring the CFL championship trophy back home with a win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Sunday (6 p.m. ET).

“It means everything to these people, the people who are throughout this province,” Schultz said Monday. “It means everything to them.”

The Riders, who upset the B.C. Lions 26-17 in Sunday’s West Division final, will have a bit of history on their side this weekend as their last Grey Cup win came in Toronto in 1989. Kent Austin, in his first season as head coach, was the quarterback of the Saskatchewan squad that captured a thrilling 43-40 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats back then. – More @ CP
