2006 Fishing

Just back from fishing for the week, and a great week it was. We had a shorter trip this year but had a good day on our flyout yesterday. Here is the money shot:

My biggest catch of the trip, now safely on file in my freezer. (15lb Lake Trout)

Our ride for the day was this little number:

Enough room for our gear and room to seat three, sort of. A twenty five minute ride to go forty miles to a place called Blair Lake. We were told that we will be the only people to fish that lake this year. Nothing but hard fighting lake trout. Most of them small but with major attitude.

After spending 9 hours catching somewhere around 100 fish we brought back our limit and left the rest to fight another day. So here is the brother, the nephew, and myself with the results.

Highlights From The Rest Of The Week:

Fishing to the bitter end of the day. The boat was supposed to be back at 9 pm. We are a little late to say the least.

We did some casting for Walleye at the bottom of these falls and caught a few.

  1. Where is this great place? Does it require a fly-in?

  2. Missinipi Sask
80 km north of LaRonge – You can drive to Missinipi on Otter Lake for good fishing and fly out to other smaller lakes for great fishing.
